Who I am

This site is operated by Olena Bilan, an independent adviser based in London, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR I am the data controller for personal information collected through this site and through the enquiry form it links to. I can be reached at office@olenabilan.com.

What this website collects

Nothing. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising cookie and no sign-up. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.

No third party is contacted when you view this site.

What happens when you use the enquiry form

The button on this site takes you to a form hosted by Tally, with appointment booking provided by Calendly inside it. Both are independent services operating under their own privacy policies, and you leave this website when you click through.

Through the form I receive what you choose to provide: your name, your email address, your organisation and role, and what you write about your situation. If you book a call, I also receive the slot you selected.

Why I hold it and on what basis

To respond to your enquiry, to prepare for and hold the conversation, and to keep an orderly record of enquiries received. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated. Where we go on to work together, the basis becomes performance of a contract.

I do not use your information for marketing. I will not add you to any mailing list without asking you first. I do not sell your data and I do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Records relating to an engagement are kept for six years, which is the period required for tax and professional purposes in the United Kingdom.

Who else processes it

Tally, as the form provider.

Calendly, as the scheduling provider.

My email and document providers, which store our correspondence and any material you send me.

Each of these processes data on my instructions under its own terms, and some may transfer data outside the United Kingdom, in which case the safeguards required by UK GDPR apply.

Confidentiality

Anything you tell me about a decision, an organisation, a programme or a commercial position is treated as confidential, whether or not we go on to work together, and is not disclosed to anyone else.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, object to my holding it, or ask me to restrict how it is used. Write to office@olenabilan.com and I will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version appears here with a new date at the top.
